My December Favourites

Another year has ended and wintertime has finally made its way, as we impatiently wait for the novelties of spring to refresh our thoughts! Yet, I live under the impression that I have found such beautiful gems this past month. Last month I prioritized rich and hydrating products, but this month I allowed myself to try a few newbies that I came across recently. Here are my beauty favourites of the month.

Cho morning beauty oil

I’ve refused to use face oils for years. Because of my teenage acne, I’ve always stayed away from products that could clog my pores. Now that I’m in my thirties, and that beauty oils are popular again, I’ve given them a second chance. My newest discovery: the brand Cho Nature. I absolutely fell in love with their morning beauty oil and its light and subtle fragrance. The oil appears greasy at first, but disappears the second it touches the skin, and leaves a dry, light satin finish. I use this every morning now!

Looky brushes

I had tested their famous mascara that was a must for lengthening lashes, but their brushes I had never tried. I finally took some time to try out their high-end brushes, and I have to admit that I was pretty surprised. First of all, you have to know that I rarely use brushes — for blush and sometimes for loose powders. But I fell in love with their foundation brush, that applied the product so well and was gentle on the skin. I will definitely try their other brushes soon, and for now, this newfound love for Looky brushes will remain one of my favorites.

Beauty Counter

I’m a bit late on the bandwagon of this beloved label that I only found out about a few weeks ago. Its products are free from chemicals — every ingredient is studied with care — and the team behind the brand does a great job on their social media as well. Until now, I tried a few makeup products that left me charmed, including the eyeshadow palette and a few lip glosses, and I’m already excited to try out their skincare. Beauty Counter is definitely under my radar for 2017!

The brand Aesop

This high-end brand is hard to find, but the hunt was so worth it. Their fragrances are very different and can easily please both men and women, and what can I say about the luxurious packaging of the label! I love their Resurrection hand soap, which smells heavenly, as well as their hair products. I’m not one to stay loyal to beauty products, but I can easily say that Aesop has my heart — and will for a long time!
