Wedding: Let the countdown begin!

I’ve been quite silent over the past few months about this, right? Yes, I wanted to take my time, and here’s why.

First of all, organizing a wedding is a pretty stressful and demanding project, as you can imagine, but it’s also very emotionally intense. I needed, over the past few months, to keep my wedding planning personal, not to talk too much about it on my blog, because I think it’s primarily a very personal process. There have been disappointments, intense stress, ups and downs, and I needed to keep it to myself. I will most likely be doing an article on the lessons I learned with this planning after our wedding, because I am convinced that many brides-to-be would like to get my advice! But now I’m finally ready to open up more on the subject and keep you up to date on the preparations, because it’s fast approaching!

So we are getting married in Tuscany in June because a large part of my boyfriend’s family lives in Italy. Then we will also have a celebration here in Montreal a few weeks later. What does that mean? Lots of organization, lots of stress, lots of money – obviously – but also so many beautiful moments to come. We are very excited to celebrate with our loved ones, and we tell each other every day how happy and excited we are to say I do!

One thing I had to finally accept a few weeks ago: I need help. I wasn’t sure I wanted to hire a wedding planner, but after the holidays, I realized that I needed a helping hand. Only to exchange ideas, get advice, and have support, it’s extremely beneficial! And I don’t regret my decision. So I’m working with the sweet Allison Raisonnable events, and she helps me to see things more clearly. I’m glad I realized just in time that I needed help, and above all, to have found her! She’s great. She meets my needs and still lets me be very involved in the process. But I’ll tell you more about it in another article.

The countdown has started: I have three months to get ready for the big day. So I’m embarking on a #SkinGoals challenge to have a beautiful skin with Annie Young Spa, in order to prepare my skin to be bright and clear for June! Stay tuned to see what I’ll be testing.

And then, finally, I know you’re looking forward to seeing my dress (!). Expect some nice surprises at this level too…
